Hi all,

I'm wondering how much a scratch will detract from a grade. I have an Ike that otherwise seems perfect except for the unfortunate (and very ugly) mark between the t and y in Liberty on the obverse.

Thanks in advance!

I'm very bad at pictures so I made some gifs that hopefully is better! :D

Yes, of course! I apologize I didn't notice the quality drop on the gifs when uploaded.

Here's some, let me know if better quality is needed. Thanks!

The mark you are concerned about is not a scratch but what we call a bag mark. Where the edge of a reeded coin hits yours (most likely another Ike) This would not cause your coin from getting a "detailed" grade. But would take maybe a point off depending on the rest of the coin

Even with the small hit I still think it makes MS-66.
