I should have explained what a die clash error is! You may know this, but... If the coining dies happen to strike each other without a planchet (blank) in between them, they can transfer some of the image from one die to the other. Your coin shows the edge of one of the 13 stripes from the reverse die clashed behind Lincoln's neck. Use this overlay image to see if you find any other areas that may have transferred on the obverse or reverse. Edit: Several for spelling. Yokozuna: You get an 'A'.  Now copy the image above. Then add you description to the image in a tag under the image. Then next time, all you need to do is to post that image with the overlay and the message (all on the same image) to the thread. You will save time having to type this out again. Edited by coop
