Looks like the start of another ear or the letter c right below his normal ear and cheekbone looks a little thick/rough. I'm sure there's a logical explanation....I'll wait for the experts to school me.

Looks like a contact mark that was pushing the metal north on the coin. Normally we would assume it was a clash mark. But clash marks don't push the metal on a coin. So I feel this is PSD.

with coop on this one for sure, this seems like a contact mark from a hit or scuff, since the metal is pushed up and out.
