How do you tell the difference between the 1982 Penny large date and the small date. I am doing a Lincoln Cent coin book and just want to get it right. Thank you

That is one of the most asked questions on the Forum.
By using the "Search" at the top of the left column, type in 1982 large / small date and there will be many posts that can answer your question.
By using that and the US Coin Facts, you will be able to find much information on your Lincolns

It's actually pretty easy.

On the "2" in the date, look at the portion that connects the top and the base. If that portion of the "2" is straight, then it's a Large Date.

If that portion of the "2" is mildly curved, it's a Small Date.
