I recently bought some 2008 silver maple leafs which were handled (unknowingly to me) by my brother. I tried wiping the fingerprints off but it appears as though they are now etched in creating a milky white residue. From what I've read, there are several methods for cleaning silver coins (baking soda, toothpaste, silver cleaner) however, they can reduce the numismatic value and possibly the bullion value of the coin.
As these coins are bullion coins, I'm not too sure if they have any numismatic value and if so, if there is any way to remove the fingerprints without lowering the numismatic or bullion value.
