Reverse looks EF-40, but obverse looks VF-30 or 35 judging from the heavy wear on the brow. Maybe it's just the pic. The color is suspicious, like it is toning back from a cleaning.

This is a comparison of this coin with the PCGS photograde plate coin for vf30 with "heavy wear." To me a VF30 coin does not have heavy wear and retains a lot of detail. Not sure if these two states are really comparable.

I agree with coinfrog but I don't believe that's the color of the coin . The coin is not off color , the photo is off color .

Cleaned at one time or another . The photo pic is what I expected concerning the off color . I don't believe this was a good catch for $56 .
