This is a put together aftermarket set, NOT a government packaged set. That is why I asked to see a picture of the whole set. With that much die wear I suspected a put together set. So the mint only produced SMS in the hard plastic holders and any in soft plastic packs were aftermarket and "made-up"? Words of encouragement are one of the major food groups. chadcoins Pillar of the Community Canada 1159 Posts	Posted 12/08/2019 1:26 pm Im Canadian up here in North West Canada and I'm and avid set collector.I acquired a bulk lot of these USA sets and examined all the coins with this 1965 Dime standing out. I wanted to get more input on this particular [set / coin] to get the description correct. Not sure if there's much value here but I think this set in the future should go back to its mother land [USA]to be enjoyed and shared. Report this Post to the Staff

No, the 1966 and 67 SMS sets were in hard plastic holders, the 1965 set was in a pliofilm holder like the 1959-64 mint set or the 1955 - 1964 proof sets. But they included a hard plastic blue "token" in the set that is completely different than the disk in your set. This is what a 1965 SMS set looked like. I should have taken the time to look online because I thought there were "soft" sets by the mint. I never thought of companies mimicking the mint sets as well as this one (except for the disc).
