I have this very worn, very abused Roman coin that I am in hopes to attribute to an emperor. It is a large Roman copper looking coin. The reverse is worn smooth and there is very little left on the obverse. At some point in time, it was very overcleaned. I am guessing that this was one of those "large uncleaned" coins that I have seen offered for sale. It measures 25-28 mm depending on the direction of measurement. I am guessing it is an earlier AS but I don't know for sure. If there is anyone out there that can possibly help me attribute this coin to an emperor I would appreciate it.
I can really see why you say that! In hand, I am fairly certain that it is Domitian. This is also cool for me as Domitian is a new Roman emperor for me. I bought a small collection of poorer quality coins for a Tiberius AS and this would a great addition. Thanks!
