1982 D Dime What Happened?!

There is some post-strike damage, but there is so much more going on here. Strike through? DD? Other things?

OBVERSE:

"WE TRUST" isn't actually gouged like damage. Plus, the "W" is very wide, the "E" has its arms angled northeast, and "TRU" are more like a wavy blob. The initials "JS" are actually "JD". Why would the letters be so misshapen, and JS literally be making JD?

REVERSE:

All of the letters are large and bubbly. Most of the letters in "E PLURIBUS UNUM" touch one another, and the "dots" in it are actually dashes that touch the "E-P" and "S-U."

"WE TRUST" is definitely damaged. The rest looks like Die Deterioration to me.
