The 1963 Washington quarter should weigh 6.3 grams. A clad quarter made in 1965 or later should weigh 5.67 grams. The silver has a distinctive ring to it as do most precious metal coins. I can't use the "ring test" myself, as I have tinnitus and I'm loosing my hearing.

Another quick test to tell silver from clad coins is the "tissue test." Place the coins side by side and cover both a coins with a tissue so that it's just touching the coins. (NEVER allow the tissue to rub the coin's surface, as it can produce marks and hairline scratches.) The silver coin will show through the tissue as a brighter white disc. It's not a fool proof way to test if a coin is silver, but it works most of the time.

Are all of the coins from the roll uncirculated?
