I was looking at an MS-63 non-toned but decided against it since the few MS Seated Liberty quarters I picked up were toned. But, the 1884 non-toned one I'm looking at I'll pick up regardless just because of the low mintage. It will stick out for not sticking out so to say when viewed all together. The 1891 isn't a hard date, I think that you could have possibly found a nicer example. However, if you like the toning that's what matters. It may not be my cup of tea, but as long as you like it. I personally tend to stay away from darker, almost black toning as it can be terminal or corrosive. Report this Post to the Staff
