Hello. Please let me know what you think for a grade on this one. Also, any thoughts regarding originality and the few scratches in the fields. This one would straight grade via TPGs right? Thank you.

Low eye appeal is a deal breaker for me.

John1 - based on "Number and severity of marks and abrasions"?

This issue is somewhat known for having a weak strike too

I'd say AU details (scratched).

Coinfrog - ok, so you feel the two scratches in the right side of the obverse field are significant enough to details grade this? That's helpful.

Yes,and even though there seems to be luster it looks a bit dull.

The multitude of hairline scratches are more the issue imo. They are most visible to me on the bust.

Thanks for the comments everyone! This coin was available on ebay for around 1 day or so, as I see it has now sold. I strongly considered it due to the fact that I'm targeting AU in this issue; and 1925-D is often found with a weak strike and this specimen looks relatively good in that regard. I agree there are a lot of scratches, which reduce eye appeal and also reduce the likelihood of a TPG straight grade.

the chances of a straight grade on this one is on the lower side to all the field scratches and then add on top of that the 2 large ones on the obverse that your eye goes right to I see it at AU details also

The obverse scratches and the roughness of the fields is a deal breaker for me .
