I've never seen one but I would assume that it's for one of the slot machines in the airport.

Something like the Silver Strike Tokens.
What was the year that they stopped using silver in the center?

Mc Carran is the only airport I have ever been through, that has poker machines that are 'in your face' as soon as you step off the airplane.
The poker machines are same as in most Returned Solders' League (RSL), Football social Clubs (Rugby Union and Rugby League), and pubs that are found all over Sydney.
Except that the Sydney machines only work with your credit card, or cashed up Club Card.

I spent a week with some friends in the Northern suburbs of Vegas.

They are about .6 of silver, sold as souvenirs. I have 4 other ones from there with different obverses on them. I have posted them in the past. Also they had the coupro=nickle dollar slot tokens with the airport logo on them. They only go for a little more than spot and a dollar or two around here.
