Found tonight roll searching.

Is this a 1999P 1DR-003 class 9 (MDS)

I'm not familiar with "Wavy Step" coins at all.

Here are pics including what I think is a match with the MDS die stage from Coppercoins site (Chuck) if this is a 99P 1 DR-003 etc.

***The picture of what seems to be a die gouge off of column 12, I can't match that with anything and I tried to see if it would break, ( possible gas bubble) but it would not burst.*

chuckster, certainly appears to be a wavy to me. I love that ripple effect on the steps. No disrespect to Charles, but you have to check out Mr. Neffs new site. Awsome. https://www.traildies.com. By the way, Charles site even got rave revues on Vamworld.

MorgansRmine:

Thanks.

I checked out both BJ's & Chuck's sites.

It seems like a match, except for that die scratch/gouge by Column 12.

I'll wait for the "BIG GUNS" (BJ ,Chuck, Bill-AKA FIR, Coop etc. ) for their confirmation.

Thanks again

Chuck.

Yes, that is the big one; 1999P-1DER-015WST. Yours is a Stage "C" since it does not have the new obverse die. Also, if you will look at the EPU and I think that you will see trail lines from the bottom of the letters.

As far as count goes, this is the fifth to be found and none in an earlier die state than Stage "C". By the looks of it, your coin is probably the one in the best condition.

Great find and congratulations.

Thanks BJ & Chuck!

Here are a few more pics of the obverse with the wart on Lincoln's nose, and E Pluribus Unum/ ED on the Rev.

Thanks again for the confirmation

Chuckster - looking at the obverse of your coin, it is a stage that I have not seen. This may have accounted for the changing of the obverse die.
If I may, I would like to copy your image of the "wart" on Lincoln's nose, making that Stage "D and Stage "E" would be the new obverse die. Also, if you will give me your name (use the e-mail on my site), I will credit you with the picture and the find.

This die is important enough that all the information that can be gathered on it should be made known.

Thanks,
BJ Neff

The coin has been officially listed and classified by BJ Neff as a Stage D Obverse on his Wavy Steps/Trails site, wwwtraildies.com

It is the first one found so far at that stage with the wart on Lincoln's nose.

Thank you Mr Neff for all your help and also for the recognition!

Chuck.
