I got this in a 1 pound lot of world coins took me 2 hours to figure out that the kind of coin was a new coin with a old date. I have a out dated Mexican coin book and the new 50 centavos coins wernt listed. This coin should say 1997 but it says 1887.... or at least thats what it looks like it says so what do you guys think a error? also does this add any value to the coin or can I toss the coin in the resell lot. the back is just the normal Mexican emblem. I didn't want to resize the photo so follow the link below to the coin.

Its fairly common to find closed 9s on Mexican coins hard handling causes the metal to flow together.

Well I wish I would have known I was searching all over the web. lol I don't really like Mexican coins I usually just toss them all in a lot and sell the 2-3 pounds I accumulate at the end of the month. Guess thats where this coin is going. Thanks!
