Just picked up this Antoninus Pius Billon Tetradrachm, Egypt, Alexandria Mint, 23mm, 11.94 grams....Wow what a lovely coin IMO....
Due to my collecting focus of AP at the moment I decided to acquire some different denominations but could really do with some help to fine tune the ID....Translation of legends and maybe year?
Obverse....CEB EVCEB ANTWNINOC? Laureate, draped and cuirassed bust of Antoninus right.
Reverse....L AUAEKIS?(Something to do with the year?) Nilus reclining left holding reed and cornucopia from which emerges Genius?, crocodile below. ATOV? (below crocodile)
Seller gave these refs...Emmerr 1413.13 // Dattari 2294 // Koln 1594 // K&G 35.426...But I dont own any! Are they accesible online?

Any help will be really appreciated thanks Paul..

I'm reading ΔωΔEKIC, which is probably supposed to be read as "dodekis" and mean "12th".

Not very confident though.

Congrats, Paul. A beauty. Did you know your coin is on the Roman Provincial Coinage website?

I see on CNG it's from the Hermanubis Collection.

Wow, what a collection! Not sure if the link will work:

WOW!...Thanks Bob!....I didn't know so what a surprise!....Great to get a full attribution with the added provenance........And I agree what an amazing collection!....

I must admit the big Roman bronzes, Tets and Drachms have become more appealing to me recently and I'll be focusing on these a lot more in the future......Paul
