AU-58 ,new pics much better on the eyes . The only reason why I'm calling it AU and not calling this beauty MS is because 1919 phillie's were know for sharp quality strikes ,and Lincolns head and face is soft . ( wear in my opinion ) Reverse is real nice , Unc. quality .

Quote: Cheek and jaw detail suggests a cleaned and re-toned coin. Sorry Bruce but I tend to disagree. If the coin was cleaned at all ,the whole coin would have been cleaned not just the cheek and jaw . JMHO .

Acids in the oils from the hand during handling could do that as well I would assume, fingers will always hit the high spots first, smudge the fingers across it and I'd assume it could have that effect.
