Nice strong one. No die markers match but this appears to be a match based on strength of doubling and shape of devices. I do wish there were more die stages available to compare to for some of the DDRs.

Really nice! Excellent class 6 thickness on all those outside devices.

ps. There will be more die stages once this ones sent in. I have sent them in before even when I have figured out a variety just so others would be able to ID it. I know of a very helpful long-time collector with hundreds of new varieties. He said he doesn't send them in because he's not in it for the notoriety but he forgets how much help it would be to other collectors in figuring out what they have found.

Don't worry about the notoriety. I have a number of die stage plate coins and have been sending in ones to help knock off the ones labeled as "need new specimen". You get no recognition in the credits for any of those (talking about VV here), only the person who sent in the original coin. I have a 1953-S DDR-002 ready for submission to help update the CONECA image files, which will cost me $10 and get no recognition. Trust me, there is no personal benefit for doing such just the satisfaction of adding to the knowledge base.

It's great you send in a lot of your finds. I am trying to be more diligent about it myself.

Out of curiosity, do you use anything special to mark a label when you have found an unattributed variety in a slab?

Thanks folks! PP there is no elegant way to mark a variety in an unmarked slab so I just stick a little rectangular sticker on it with the variety on it so I know what it is.
