If they are incuse, then it is coin scratches. Something will keep the original surface like stickers, nail polish, paint, varnish, sealers, glues, tape. But these are not usually lines, but areas where the original finish is still there. Sometimes the toning on a coin is removed by scuffing off that tones area. But nothing collectable. Often a distraction.
