I've been a away from home for a year and a half now.. so when my brother decided to visit me, I asked him to bring my collections of Notes.. (They're not the expensive ones but it was worth keeping..)

I was shocked when I saw my notes which was inside a plastic.. I think the moist got to it and somewhat ruined some of them.. I'm planning on replacing the plastics but our local coin store dont have a stock of them yet. I wonder if using a photo album would be safe?

I don't collect notes, so this is only my opinion. If you use an archival type of album, one with acid free paper and the plastic cover sheets don't contain PVC, I think it would be OK.

DO NOT USE A PHOTO ALBUM. If you do, you will destroy your notes. Notes stick to the album pages and will rip to pieces when you try to take them out. If you want them in an album, invest in a good acid free note album. I don't display mine, they are simply kept in acid free envelopes in acid free boxes with a couple of gel packs thrown in to control humidity.

Acid free boxes you can get from art supply shops.

They have acid free written on the packaging here. Sorry didn't realise you were from the philippines, your best bet would be a stationers or art supply store and ask them for archival quality envelopes and boxes, which should have acid free written somewhere on them. And they aren't expensive. If you have no luck finding any, send me a PM with your address and I will send you some.

I think this all depends on what sort of photo album you are using for the purpose. I have an archival grade photo album that I keep my notes in. It does not have the sticky back to hold photos in place. It has plastic sleeves to do that purpose. But I also put all my notes in the sleeves before I put them into the photo album.
