Hi, guys! I have newbie questions seeking your knowledge. During my last $1,000 bank sealed CRH, I found the following quarters with reverse Cuds (see attached pictures) Question #1: Are Cuds just error coins or are they true die variety/FS designated coins? Question #2: error coins/FS die varieties question aside, are they worth being certified if in high MS condition? If circulated, is selling on E-bay as raw coins the way to go? These Cuds are the Snow on Roof Homestead (1), Leaky Bucket Homestead (1), Hat-brim Teddy Roosevelts (3), and Arizona State Cactus extra leaf covering designer's initials (2). All new knowledge gratefully received. Morgan Guy

Your coins aren't Cuds, they are die chips. Cuds have to involve the rim of the coin. Neither are die varieties. FS numbers are the catalogue numbers in the CherryPickers Guide, which only lists die varieties. Die chips are not worth grading. High grade major Cuds can be worth grading. Die chips as well as low grade or minor Cuds are best sold raw. Check out cuds-on-coins.com

@MG, not that it adds value, but your '08 Quarters might have a little bit of MD on the date and EPU as well.

Thank you all for your prompt replies and the usual very useful information. I learned about these " Cuds" from YouTube coin channels (gotta start somewhere); now I know that these are die chips. The links you provided (plural) are just fantastic! Talk about going from zero to sixty in two months (or at least "punching the pedal to the metal")! Morgan Guy

Stop watching YouTube.
I'm sure there is at least 1 video that has accurate and complete information, but the total population of those that are accurate and complete is totally swamped by the garbage click-bait.
