Does this look like a repunched 1? If so, is there a variety for it? There appears to be a few broken letters too.

The big reference on 3 cent nickels can be found here, long out of print and quite expensive when found ($250+) the online version is okay but the photo aren't the best quality. https://nnp.wustl.edu/library/book/555545 Kevin Flynn also has a book "The Authoritative Reference on Three Cent Nickels" it's fairly complete and is still available for a lot less money than the Gifford book, usually under $40.00.
