Edit: Thanks DBM for letting me know it is not a rotated die clash. Fixed my post so others don't get the wrong information.

Found this one inside the same roll as the 2001 P I posted about, it has a die clash on the obverse behind his head.

No magnification needed.

It's not rotated at all.
What you are seeing is the top of the log and point where the rock and log meet the water.
These behind the neck clashes are quite common on GeoVI nickels.
I'm trying to collect one from every year if possible.

Thanks DBM, I was going to do an overlay of the Obverse and Reverse but I cant figure out what the top clash is behind his head, I know the bottom is the ripples in the water but I don't see where the other 2 lines are coming from and when I do an overlay nothing matches.

I just looked at both of those links and although they were helpful, my clash doesn't line up like those do, I tried to recreate them with no luck, the clash higher up the back of his head doesn't line up with anything and the only way the lines on the bottom line up is if I flip the reverse upside down and rotate it. I will post overlays to show what I am talking about.

I know it might look like the flipped reverse is a match but I assure you it is no where even close.

Your "flipped reverse" overlay is the actual proper overlay.
As I said before "What you are seeing is the top of the log and point where the rock and log meet the water."
They line up perfectly.
Don't forget dies unlike coins have recessed devices, when they clash the shallowest parts of the design are transferred, the high points will not appear.
Did you not look at the coinsandcanada overlays?

DBM, yes I looked at the Coins and Canada overlays. That website is my go-to for most Canadian errors/varieties but what I mean when I say its not a match is the lines don't match up anywhere on the log or the water where the log and rock meet unless I rotate it and offset it, although it looks like it fits fine it really doesn't at all the water ripples don't look even remotely similar in shape or size and the lines on the log aren't suppose to be there but they show when I do my overlay.

I am not questioning your opinion because I'm sure you know exactly what you are talking about but I just find it odd because on most die clashes when you do an overlay everything fits kind of like a puzzle, so I thought I would ask. it is my first Die Clash find so I try to do my best to properly document my finds.

Hi ! What is hapening with your coin is that there is a small rotation between to obverse and reverse. rotate the overlays and it will match perfectly.

JohnWayne007 Nice find. That is to cool that you found it in a roll. I have a 1950 die clash somewhat similar.
