The small parallel lines likely come from grinding off a parting line (from this piece being cast), but I'd like to see this area in more detail. Thx. paralyse Bedrock of the Community United States 12057 Posts	Posted 12/04/2019 9:07 pm Smiling medusa with snakes reverse in the style of some Roman Republican issues but really way too large at 38mm, and way too heavy, crudely executed all around. I don't know if this is a genuine coin, the heavy filing lines and the pitting are bizarre.
