I am less than an hour old to the community. That said, has anyone else heard of a tripled-die obverse war nickle? Cherrypickers does not list it, but I know that does not necessarily mean anything.

to ccf! There is a lot of varieties that CPG doesn't list. There is also a master DDO and TDO that affected like 50% of coins from 1943

In one of the T's there is a point to the left and right of the main point on the crossbar. Feel free to throw in correct terminology.

Signing off for the night. Thank you for the information so far. If there is something else I need to consider, educate me.

Part or all of the doubling might be the product of Master die doubling which would affect all dies produced "downstream" from that master. Some master die doubling got me a couple of months ago on an uncirculated war set I won. Here is a LINK to the Variety Vista page for Jefferson nickels (1942-1943). http://varietyvista.com/Variety%20M....htm#_1943-P Scroll down to the first entry for 1943P. This is the info you will find about MDD-001. (Master Doubled Die-001) Designation: MD-1-O-V-CCW (1943 P, D, S) (Master Die-001, Obverse, ClassV- Counter Clock Wise) Description: Light spread on LIBERTY, star, and date Markers: Strength of doubling will vary depending upon hub and die state .............. Reverse is RDV-002
Words of encouragement are one of the major food groups. We need to consume them regularly to thrive and grow.
