Not sure what caused the damage but theres also a blue and yellow stone embedded on the obverses north west corner as crazy as it sounds.

Can you please send us a close up of the as crazy as it sounds "blue and yellow stone embedded on the obverse"? And, how do you know it's a "stone"? Sounds interesting, I'd love to see more.

The coin seems to have a lot of "gunk" on it (including maybe glitter?), so I wouldn't put too much stock in what you see until after an acetone bath and rinse.

Looks like the DDR missing a layer or partial layer of metal. Probably gonna have someone look at it. Is it 100 percent not that?

It's encased in metal but after I'll let it take a bath in nail polish remover!

That deep blue is likely to be copper corrosion with the other signs of environmental stress this coin has been through.
Words of encouragement are one of the major food groups.
