2018 d nickel error I was woundering how collectable and valuable it is. Is it double stamped or just extra metal left behind?

It is worth putting in a 2x2 holder. Check ebay sold values for a current idea on value.

It is called a partial collar. The area that is wider on this coin is where the edge was not fully in the collar.
