I found a 1944 Newfoundland small cent in a drawer from back in the day when I was assembling a set in mint state. I initially found one in PCGS ms62 with a touch of red on the obverse and then later upgraded it.
The one that was ms62 is the one I found in the drawer and I recall that even finding that date is in ms62 was difficult.
Apparently, I am not allowed to mention that it is for sale on ebay so no link provided just the pics.

To be easier to sell (or get a better price), it would be good to try to get more design detail in the pictures posted.

It seems that even the high end collectors misplace coins as well

I saw one on ebay sell tonight for US$93 (PCGS MS-62). If that was yours, part of me wonders if it was pedigreed as a "Belzberg" coin, would it have fetched more?

Even though it was part of my collection it was not part of the Heritage auction so I thought it might have been somewhat misleading, interesting question!

Pedigree and provenance are important... well, at least to me. I had to do a lot of leg work to convince PCGS (and Sandy Campbell) that I had one of Remick's NFLD pieces.
