Good morning! Can anyone tell me if the "ding" in the planchette of my nickel is from the die or just wear and tear? It looks like it was made that way to me but I'm new to really looking at the beautiful errors in coins :). Thanks!

Ok yes that's what I was looking at. It just looks "melted" or "fused" to the D. Thank you for you input!!
