So today I was going through a collection of my grandfather's and found this curious dime floating around with an uncirculated nickel.
I know nothing about coin errors and was hoping to get some help here.

The United in United States of America has the nit blobbed over. There is also a big error right in the center. The face of the coin is fine. What do you all think?

Dan John Longano,
An area of a coin struck by a die that has a complete break across part of its surface. A Cud may be either a Retained Cud, where the faulty piece of the die is still in place, or a full Cud, where the piece of the die has fallen away. Retained Cuds usually have dentil detail if on the edge, while full Cuds do not.

John1 got it correct. Solder or something on the surface. PSD. Spendable.
