Can't for the life of me find any information on why this two year old coin would have such an ugly color.
What has this coin looking, well, so worn.

It is pretty hard to tell from those pictures, but my guess would be environmental damage. Just a seconds in an acid bath will damage a coin forever, so who knows what happened to this in 2 years.

If you showed a picture of the whole coin, it might make it easier to determine the cause.
Five of the same picture is not necessary.

I apologise for the four consecutive pics. However, am grateful for the feedback. I have several coins that provide stress do to my inability to determine what exactly they are. Through coin roll hunting in general, numismatics in particular, purpose can be found, and direction is provided. Sequence, key to the evolution of our mind's as it may be, is both frustrating and rewarding. Thank you for bearing with me as I try to grow chrisof4 and jimmyD.
