Metalman Pillar of the Community United States 7123 Posts	Posted 10/06/2008 3:36 pm Thad I will go along with low AU ,,even though it could fall to EF-45 if everything I see is wear and not part of my next paragraph ! I can tell from the steps that it was not a well struck coin to begin with and that maybe part of what I am seeing in the pics on the obverse through the center of the coin . I believe the issue with the steps is die related. I looked on the web at a few 98 Wide AM's and they all have the exact same feature. Lincoln Cent Lover! I'm not sure what's going on on the reverse, but I could be convinced that it's a die issue.
