Hi everyone I was hoping to get some feedback on a 1955 wheat back penny I found going through about 5000 wheat backs that were left to me by my dad. The possiable error (double strike?) Is in the "In God We Trust". It looks to consistent to be a pme but as I'm new at this I would very much appreciate any thoughts. Thank you very much.

to the CCF!

I don't think this is an error. It looks like damage from a Coin Wrapping Machine. The groove is where the crimping fingers made contact with the coin. It's just a damaged coin now. Sorry.

Or vending machine damage. Either way it is a damaged coin. PSD
