Here is another coin I can't seem to find a proper identification for. A helmeted Licinius with a Trier mint mark.

On Wildwinds there are three Licinius coins very similar, but two have a PTR mint mark, and the other has the STR mint mark as on this coin. The reverse of the STR coin is completely different though.
Help-With-A-Licinius-Coin-ID-Please.
There is a Licinius coin on Vcoins that is the same obverse and reverse, with the STR mint mark, but it has a star in the left field. It is not listed on Wildwinds. This coin does not have the star.

Obverse: LICINIVS P AVG or LICINIVS PF AVG. Reverse: VIRTVS EXERCIT. The coin is 19mm in diameter.

Any help is appreciated.

@Kushanshah Thank you again, that is the coin for sure. I hadn't seen the "trophy of arms " description used before, so it is nice to know what the device actually represents.

The Constantinethegreatcoins pages are very well executed and beautifully illustrated. A credit to the publisher. I'm surprised that this site has not come up on any of my Google searches. There is a great deal of information on the "Rulers" pages too, and I've added the URL to my attributions kit file.

The mystery is now solved, many thanks.

@echizento I was really taken by the amount of detail on this coin, but initially didn't notice the crack in the flan radiating from the eyebrow on the Licinius portrait. I don't mind that though, as it doesn't really detract from the overall charm of the coin.

Thanks Paul.

One day I hope to find a coin that is perfect on both sides. Well, it's nice to have a dream!
