Looks like it might be MD. But I'm not seeing anything else affected on the devices on that area. Check the opposite side to see if any MD is seen on that side?

That's what I was thinking, MD, but I wasn't fully for sure.

Not MD. The die markers in LIBERTY and above the mint mark in PLURBUS match. The wear on the coin makes it look like MD.

Bit is that die number, but there is MD on that area of the device. You can have both events happening on a coin. MD and also Variety. That is what I was wondering if that was happening. The MD was reducing the mintmark.

Just my opinion, but that doesn't look to be match. Looks like MD on the mintmark.
