Grade And Value Of 1883 O- Toning Look Real?

panzaldi Bedrock of the Community United States 18657 Posts	Posted 12/25/2019 08:54 am The 83(O) is typically average to soft in strike. this one looks AVG-. the obverse surface preservation is 6/10. the fingerprint will not be able to be removed and the field is fairly marked up. the non-symmetrical toning will also reduce the eye appeal. obverse will grade MS62. reverse is a little better, it would come in at MS63 with more luster and less marks & scratches. imo the obverse will hold this one to MS62. Since this is common date the difference in value between 62 and 63 is negligible. full retail about $50 Report this Post to the Staff
