1986-D, MM Looks Like It's Riding A Wave, MM On Reverse?

Snoopydoo Valued Member United States 443 Posts	Posted 12/24/2019 7:44 pm Ok, the front MM looks like it's riding a wave. What is that? Error, valuable, spendable? On the reverse it looks like a MM on the steps, but maybe I've been drinking too much. Report this Post to the Staff

ungulate New Member 10 Posts	Posted 12/24/2019 8:02 pm The topography of Lincoln cents for example is different almost all the time versus previous viewed topography- the last 48 hours has included topography changes that I have to believe are visible even to the naked eye. Snoopydoo Valued Member United States 443 Posts	Posted 12/24/2019 8:17 pm Yes on the cleaning, it was so corroded I couldn't tell what it was completely, knew it wasn't high value, so cleaned to see what it was, that's when I noticed the D MM anomaly'. Wasn't trying to hide the cleaning. One other coin I posted tonight was heavily corroded and cleaned to identify as well. Next time I will post in original comments cleaned. The big abrasions were from circulation, I used a petroleum distillate in my fingers to lift the grime, and soft microfiber cloth to wipe away excess grime and oil.
