I have looked at the coins that are graded for this and even studied intensely the images for the PCGS record breaking 4500 dollar auction value of one last year. Believe it or not I have one that I feel is far more pronounced than the record breaker, but we all like are pets far more than others so I need to hear it from the experts. Do I just upload images or do people request that first?

There is a an image resizing tool available when you start a new message. That will get the photos down to the required size.

Hi axsprog, welcome to the forum. I went looking for the $4500 coin you mentioned, and what I could find was an error coin in which two coins were struck bonded together. Is this what you were referencing? If not, would you mind linking to the coin? Looking at your pictures I do see some sort of doubling, but it's unclear to me as to whether it's Machine Doubling or not because the pictures are a bit grainy. Any chance we can get clearer pics? If you describe your photo setup, we may be able to give some pointers. It almost looks like you've taken a photo of your computer monitor, then cropped the photos.

With brand new ultra shiny pennies glare plays a factor . It is either this glare or Machine Doubling we're seeing, or a combination of both.

Just saw the comments - holidays and all. this is where I first confirmed my find http://www.chattanoogacoins.com/201...und_b_6.htmlbut I do not know if they are that credible then this https://www.cointalk.com/threads/20...-die.300216/ then this https://www.PCGS.com/coinfacts/coin...mages/620986After the Ohio state game (buckeye fan) I will post better pics. I understand the glare /bright coin effects on the view - but I look at over 5000 pennies a week so when think something is heavily (number of area) doubled it tend to be. All of you are great for assisting me with this. BTW Oijogja yoiu are right , I got target fixation and did not follow the link all the way through lol but the page prior to that (link above) shows the 2017 P with the certs.

I wish I could tell from these photos but unfortunately I still can't. Merclover is making a good point, the contrast between both the white hot highlights and the crushed shadows are making things very hard to see (for me anyway). What sort of setup are you using to take your photos?

believe it or not I'm a software engineer , but I use top of the line imaging equipment because it's not what I do. I mean I could write scripts/code to communicate and manipulate the camera but as far the settings I probably do not have things optimized. I'm USING A usb Digital Viewer Whats weird is when viewing with the scope the pics are clear as can be but once I do the capture it seems to zoom the image and that is what I am left with. I will investigate the settings and such and do this again.

I'm sorry but I do not see a DDO here, you have too much glare but typically you would see a DDO very evident on the thickness of the lettering in LIBERTY. Your 2017 date looks normal, IMO but see if you can match it up to a listing using die markers http://doubleddie.com/2318537.html
