It all depends on whether the numismatic leprosy is on the surface or has caused pitting. If this is just surface junk and comes off with an acetone swim, you did very well. If it is damaging corrosion, you broke even. I don't think you are underwater on this one, regardless. Disregarding the spotting, your coin has a pretty decent strike for a 1924-D, and evenly matched MDS die pairing. The obverse would come in at VF-30 and the reverse at VF-25.
