I cut this coin out of a bag from Littleton Coin Company.

1955-Dime,-Unc.,-Unknown-Line-Through-Hair-Field?

I noticed some kind of distortion running through the hair field to forehead.
Is it anything of note? Lamination error, or damaged die?
I circled it in an up close picture below.

I don't see anything unusual either . At first I thought you were talking about what looks like a staple scratch across top of head .

It looks like it's raised to me so probably a die crack.

Yes, look at the close up that I circled, way too wide for a scratch, and raised.
The whole coin picture does look like a scratch, but it's not.
Are die cracks considered an error or variety?

Technically, I suppose you could argue that die cracks are an error and/or could be a variety, but from most collectors' viewpoints, a die crack this minor isn't really noteworthy or adding value. Something like this might be used as a die marker if this dime were a doubled die, but in and of itself, this die crack is just an aesthetic component of this particular piece, not a "special" variety.

You might search "die crack" on error-ref.com and look at some examples illustrated there in conjunction with major errors.
