1983 P Penny Statue And DDO?

Hi!
Just some more questions. I may be looking too close....coming up with ridiculous questions. Really new.

On the reverse, the statue does not show. There is a slight mark midway in the bay where the statue would be. Polishing or really old coin?
On the obverse, Part of "liberty" and "in God we trust" looks like it may be DD or distortion caused by camera?
