I remember that a 2007 Crystal Snowflake costing about $400 between the years 2008-2013, the dropping to about $250-$300 in 2013-2016, then down to $200 between 2016-2019. Now you can buy them between $100-$150 on ebay. That is a 75% price decline from the highs. Does anyone know what the purchase price was?

It makes me sick because I remember buying one for $400 from Teletrade and feeling lucky that I even found one after searching for months.

That strategy only works if there is demand for the coin. The coin could fall 50% or 60% off issue and remain unsold if no one wants it.

Regarding the 2007 Snowflake coin, the market has cooled significantly over the last few years due to many factors already discussed on this forum. Many once hot coins have dropped in value.

Overs the years, when watching closely, the trends are more interesting, when looking for the long terms.

This specific coin has appeal disregards it's asking/selling price, however so called "worth" to buy it was only after initial release....unfortunately, after peak it has only way down.
