Wexler updated his site today with a new doubled working hub listing: 2015-D DDO-002.

http://www.doubleddie.com/2486337.html

I've only seen a few coins with the doubled ear here on the forum, none in hand. Clearly a few dies out there though, but most looked like slightly different variants to me.

I haven't seen any of these coins in hand and only a few have been posted here. I've checked the few 2015-D cents I get in change, none with the doubled ear. I haven't seen enough to make a good opinion on this either way.

What do you guys think? Do you agree? Not enough evidence?

It doesn't seem like there is an abundance of them out there. I have found 0 and have been through thousands of 2015-Ds. Not sure on this one.

Precisely why I'm hesitant to agree. Just haven't seen many of them turn up.

Sorry! That was me.

I sent one coin to Dr. Wiles for attribution and he designated it as DDO-002. He asked for another one, if I had one, and I sent it to him for his collection. That second coin "was not" the DDO-002, Dr. Wiles informed me, but a different die and not worth listing. The doubled ear was, however, identical.

I then sent 7 examples to John Wexler and he decided not to attribute a DDO for any of them, but issued the WWHO-001 instead.

Both gentlemen explained their actions to me, satisfactorily.
