1981 S Type 2 Washington Quarter Error With 3-4 Mint Marks.

coop Bedrock of the Community United States 62064 Posts	Posted 01/05/2020 1:59 pm In order for the areas in question to be mintmarks, would require they are raised from the fields like the original mint mark, and also being the same size as the normal mintmark. If they are incuse, they are damage on the coin. If they are not incuse, but not raised, they maybe a stain on the fields of a coin. So far there has never been one reported with extra mintmarks. coop Bedrock of the Community United States 62064 Posts	Posted 01/05/2020 3:19 pm Looks like they are not raised like a mintmark would normally be. Why do my images look so pixelated? Because the images are too small. When enlarged they break up. You need larger sized images so you don't need to magnify them, or enlarge the coin to get a larger base image of what you are trying to show us.
