1980-D KHD With Copper Colored Obverse And Reverse. Environmental Damage?

I found this one while CRH. The obverse is almost as copper colored as a cent. The reverse has a pretty strong patina over most of the coin with copper colors showing through. The coin is pretty worn. My first guess is environmental damage, but submitting it for comments in case it is something else. Thanks!

@co4, I think that your first instinct is correct. Of course, if you are thinking that this might be a missing clad error, then simply checking the weight would give you confidence one way or the other.

Thank you E&V and Spence! The weight is the same as a normal coin, so I think that rules out a lamination error. I figured PSD, but it never hurts to get a second opinion.
