1858 Flying Eagle Cent DDO? DDR? Dso?

Pretty sure this is counterfeit. Dentils look wrong, devices and lettering look mushy. Very grainy/cast appearance from pics.

Thanks for the rotation Macmercury,really don't understand the quiet side from everyone. Definitely not one you see everyday. Has a lot of interesting raised areas on the reverse and obverse. Closer view with a scope it appears it may have had a bad off center strike and then struck over. Just a whole lot for a rookie to figure out. Hopefully a flying eagle pro Will step in and offer some insight

opinion noted, but I'll wait for some heavely experienced opinion's to chime in. If it takes sending it to someone to be authenticated so be,but I've yet to hear from and expert on this. Almost like know one wants to jump in, really strange for this forum. I fully understand this is not a everyday find with so much going on and it's possible in 162 years someone cleaned it wasn't me but acid is not going to leave the details that are on this coin. Problem here is not someone trying to pass one over on somebody, but more like no one has ever seen one before. But at the same time no advice from the upper ranks have chimed in and that's what I'm waiting for. Thanks for all comments so far but would you throw a gold dollar in a junk jar because someone said it was painted just saying.

If it's real, it's a cool coin for sure. Double/Triple die/struck possibly.
Looks like - Small letters, low leaves, Open E in ONE....

A couple of other things I see:
Top most tail feather appears slightly short at the end.
Date font wrong, very thin.
There is a variety of Open E for the 1858, but I think even then it looks slightly different then the E in CENT. Yours appear to be identical, and overall mushy.

With you - I would love to hear some other opinions.

I'm no expert, but I live to collect 1857 Flying Eagle varieties, mostly the clashes (and we're talking hundreds of examples). Anything FE garners my attention, and part of my collection includes all the counterfeits I can get my hands on. Right now I'm working on two new/unattributed varieties for the 1857FE, and will hopefully be posting them here in the near future.

just Carl,XenFe99 I'm going to try and load some more pictures.Taking and loading pictures on here seems to give me problems so it might take me a bit. And it is not magnetic. Next question or comments please lol
