From the USA, a Half Cent, large cent and holey dime: and from France, a silver 20 centimes that looks nice in hand but grotty in a photograph!

Today I will show you half my British collection: Great Britain 1852, 1 florin This Gothic florin is a recent acquisition and certainly among the most beautiful coins in my collection. Very pleased to have it . You will see the other half of my collection sometime in August . And while Victoria's beauty glimmers in the United Kingdom, across the Channel things are moving in Paris. Louis-Napoleon Bonaparte, Napoleon's nephew and dictatorial "Prince-President" of the 2nd republic prepares the way to become Emperor Napoleon III. That will happen in December the same year. France 1852, 20 francs, Paris (A)
