Waiting to see if we get a 1367 C. E. (A. H. 768)

NO! I didn't get one. But I did a bit of research, and they do exist. I am seeing one or two affordable AH768 dated coins come up in auctions each year:
https://www.numisbids.com/n.php?lot...lot&sid=8068
https://www.numisbids.com/n.php?lot...lot&sid=6364
https://www.numisbids.com/n.php?lot...lot&sid=5401
https://www.numisbids.com/n.php?lot...lot&sid=5137

As for dateable European coins, the only type I can find so far which is close is this one:

According to CNI (Vol. VII, p. 91), Venetian mintmaster Secondo Aventurado was appointed by doge Marco Corner on January 12 1367. Corner died on January 13, 1368. If it took just a few days to modify the dies to incorporate Aventurado's "sigile" S on the coins, then it would have been struck within a year of, say, January 15, 1367.

Given that an AH dated coin can straddle into two C.E. years, with the nod going to the year which contains the most AH days, I would have thought that this coin would be in a similar position, and I would be happy to vote yes to accept it, should it ever come up for display in
the 7th edition.

I checked MA Shops and there's only one hit and it's a miswritten date. Yeah I thought this would be a more common date than that...

There are three (I think) on Meshok but of course I have no idea if they deliver outside Russia. If I do end up visiting Moscow in the coming months I'll try to check if there's any in the markets.

[EDIT: to clarify, most hits for 768 are Charlemagne and most hits for 1367 are modern 1367 AH coins.]

I think we should keep it open for the rest of the day, just in case, but yes, technically both threads are now up to the same date (1368).

Definitely not where I would have expected this to end back when we were still going through the 1450s... just over a year and a half ago, apparently.

It's been a great ride. Thx to all who have helped push this thread as far as we have been able to get it!

We could...

But to borrow some lines from a certain Sci-Fi show... Resistance is futile... and All good things must come to an end.

Now, go take the Seventh deeper and I will see you in the Eighth Edition!
