I'll be sitting on the sidelines for the next several years too.

No miracle, but I did buy what purports to be a coin minted in 1434. Could come in handy once we get past this current year.

It appears we are going back to a monthly bump.

Still searching for AH 838, but I was able to fill some upcoming gaps:

1425 (AH 828)
1424 (AH 827)
1418 (AH 821)
1416 (AH 819)

That's excellent! It's going to significantly help our passage towards 1400. Though there'd still be some hard points.

Here's the remaining gaps until 1400 - possibly some of them had already been acquired...

1435 (AH 838)
1432 (AH 835)
1430 (AH 833)
1429 (AH 832)
1415 (AH 818)
1410 (AH 813)
1408 (AH 811)
1406 (AH 809)
1404 (AH 806)
1402 (AH 804)
1401 (AH 803)
1400 (AH 802)

Then we have just one non-gap (1398) from there until my next possible entry at 1387. I wonder if this thread would get that far before the 7th edition catches up (or gets stuck).

@j1m, I've got one of them on your list, but sadly, still not anything to help us move back from our current spot.

Is it this one?

If so, that was the coin I mentioned back on page 450...
Quote:
1429 was very awkward: as far as I could tell, the minting period for the posted coin was 13.08.1429-24.08.1430. Just a few days over a year, and mostly in 1430 anyway.
(Source for the dates: this page of an excellent site on the coinage of Charles VII of France. This site also helped with confirming several more French emission dates.)

OK yes that is fair pushback @j1m. We've talked about the timing of these emissions previously but I agree that in Duplessy it states that the date range includes both 1429 and 1430 AD. I'm going update my 2x2 to reflect this two-year minting span and add back 1429 to my list of years needed.

Nothing new on the 1435 AD front for me; however, I did just pick up a Levinson I-24 (1429 AD) if we ever drop back to there.
