I'm a regular at my LCS. I know the owners and workers. I'm I guess or hope a good customer. I don't spend mega bucks but I'm a regular. Pretty much every 2 weeks I pick up something.

I talk to the LCS owner and today my mind was blown. Like in the movie scanners!!

So did you know that in 1999 the US Mint made experimental State Quarters on a quarter size planchet but composed of the same material as the Sacagawea dollar? Well neither did I but today I saw one for the first time. It wasn't for sale it was in the owners personal collection. Yes there was brain matter all over the slab the counters and everywhere. I'm usually not a "I want that" , but dang I want one!

To make it worse I also saw a 1944 steel cent. Yes the owner has one in his personal collection.

I bow down to the "real" collectors because after seeing these 2 I'm just an amateur! Dang sure was impressed today! When I see the 1964 Peace dollar I will be say I've seen it all!
